Victorian Information Security Network

The Victorian Information Security Network (VISN) is a platform for stakeholders across government and industry to discuss data protection issues and initiatives.

Membership

The network is always open to new members across government and industry.

To join, email security@ovic.vic.gov.au with the following details:

Name;
job title; and
organisation.

You will then be added to the VISN mailing list and receive information about upcoming VISN events and activities.

Events

We regularly host events for Victorian Public Sector (VPS) and industry stakeholders to discuss the Victorian Protective Data Security Framework (VPDSF) and VPDSF resources.

Attendees of previous forums have advocated for broader engagement across Victoria and the inclusion of partners such as local councils and agencies in this network. These partner organisations offer support services to, or on behalf of, Victorian government.

Staff from public sector organisations and partnering entities are encouraged to attend these free events to gain a better understanding of what the VPDSF means for your organisation and practical measures to secure its information.

Note that industry stakeholders are offered alternative sessions to attend.
