The Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC) has published a discussion paper on Proactive and informal release of information in the Victorian public sector.
By publishing this discussion paper, OVIC is seeking to better understand the practices and experiences of Victorian public sector agencies with proactive and informal release.
OVIC will use this information to explore how it can better assist agencies to proactively and informally release information to the public.

While this discussion paper is directed at agencies subject to the FOI Act, OVIC welcomes submissions from anyone interested in providing comments on proactive and informal release in Victoria.
