DJCS and Victoria Police public interest determination application
The Department of Justice and Community Safety and Victoria Police made an application to the Information Commissioner for a public interest determination on 25 June 2020. A notice published by the Information Commissioner under section 29(4) of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 is available below. On 7 July 2020, the Information Commissioner granted the public interest determination.
DJCS and Victoria Police temporary public interest determination application – Withdrawn
The Department of Justice and Community Safety and Victoria Police made an application to the Information Commissioner for a temporary public interest determination on 5 february 2020. A notice under section 38(4) of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 published by the Information Commissioner is available below. On 25 June 2020, the application for a temporary public interest determination was withdrawn and replaced by the above application for a public interest determination.
