Privacy Awareness Week Launch
We also invite Victorian Public Sector and government organisation employees (including universities, health agencies and councils) to attend the launch in person at Treasury Theatre. Morning tea will be served following the event. Places are limited – please register your interest here.
Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is celebrated at OVIC every year to raise awareness of privacy rights, issues and trends, and the importance of good privacy practices.
To kick off our PAW celebrations for 2026, acting Deputy Commissioner, Privacy & Data Protection Anthony Corso will be joined by Dr Jake Goldenfein from the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-making and Society (ADM+S) at our launch event.
Dr Goldenfein will share insights from a recent ADM+S research study into the procurement and deployment of AI technologies in the Victorian public sector.
