Information Access Series: The ideal state of Freedom of Information in Victoria (IAID)

As part of International Access to Information Day (IAID) celebrations, OVIC is presenting ‘Part 2’ of this series discussing recommendations from the IOC’s inquiry into the operation of the FOI Act that focus on supporting a culture of open access in Victoria.

The presentation will cover the ways in which the current FOI Act is failing, and initiatives that will help support a culture of open access, including training, information management, access by design, independent oversight and sanctions.

The presentation will also celebrate IAID and discuss the importance of access to information.
