Information Access Series: Tips to use FOI for a more tailored Applicant experience

Please join us in March for this Information Access Series (IAS) webinar, where we'd like to discuss your experiences of the Freedom of Information (FOI) process.

Navigating the freedom of information (FOI) process can be complicated and challenging both for Applicants and FOI Practitioners.

Proactive and Informal Release (PAIR) consultation under section 17 of the FOI Act and a tailored decision letter can make the FOI process easier and more responsive for all involved.

OVIC invites FOI Practitioners to attend an online Information Access Series (IAS) event on 27 March 2024 from 12:00-12:45pm, which will explore case studies around the following topics:

  • Assessing whether proactive and informal release strategies are possible
  • Consulting under section 17
  • Bringing context to decision letter writing.

To ensure the relevancy of the case studies discussed, we invite FOI practitioners to provide a de-identified case study suggestion via communications@ovic.vic.gov.au. Suggestions are welcome anytime up until the day of the presentation; however, if possible to provide it by 14 March 2024, this will ensure your example can be embedded in the content.

Online registrations for this event have now closed. If you would still like to attend this event, please email us at communications@ovic.vic.gov.au.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
