Information Access Series: Annual FOI agency survey – hints and tips for 2023-24 (July session)

Each year, OVIC conducts the annual FOI agency survey which is coordinated by our Registry and Case Support team. This involves collecting data from each Victorian agency and Minister on the administration and operation of the FOI Act, including the number of FOI requests received and finalised, and details about decisions made granting and refusing access to documents.


The 2023-24 survey will be set to agencies on 1 July 2024.


To assist agencies with completing the 2023-24 survey, OVIC will be running information access series (IAS) sessions stepping through the survey to provide advice and guidance to agency officers on its completion. These sessions will also allow agency officers to ask specific questions.


To allow as many agency officers as possible to attend, we will be running two sessions, covering the same content. This event registration is for the July event. The June session can be found here.
