Information Access Series: Annual FOI Survey – hints & tips for 2024-25 (July)
Each year, OVIC conducts the annual FOI agency survey which is coordinated by our Registry and Case Support team. This involves collecting data from each Victorian agency and Minister on the administration and operation of the FOI Act, including the number of FOI requests received and finalised, and details about decisions made granting and refusing access to documents.
The 2024-25 survey will be sent to agencies on 1 July 2025.
To assist agencies with completing the 2024-25 survey, OVIC will run information access series (IAS) sessions stepping through the survey to provide advice and guidance to agency officers on its completion. These sessions will also give agency officers a chance to ask specific questions.
To allow as many agency officers as possible to attend, we will be running two sessions over June and July, covering the same content.
