Due date
A decision on the request is due no later than:
An agency may extend the 30 day period for deciding an access request by:
- Up to 15 days if third party consultation is required - section 21(2)(a); or
- Up to 30 days with an applicant's agreement - section 21(2)(b).
- Applicants may agree to subsequent extensions of up to 30 days each - section 21(3).
- Extensions must be agreed to prior the previous extension expiring - section 21(5).
