Information access series: OVIC and Monash University FOI and Information Access Culture in Victoria Report

In September 2019, OVIC and Monash University published a study on FOI and information access culture in Victoria. The report authored by Associate Professor Johan Lidberg found that FOI practitioners ranked government executives as more important than political leadership in building a positive and well-functioning FOI culture.

OVIC will host Associate Professor Lidberg to discuss the findings and key recommendations of his report. The session will also include an update on the work OVIC plans to do building on the findings of the report and provide information on the discussion paper to be prepared on Victorian government agencies’ views and approaches to proactive disclosure.
