Information Access Series: Report on the State of FOI in Victoria

The Information Commissioner released a report on the State of FOI in Victoria: Five years in Review 2014-2019 on 17 February. The report presents data collected from agencies over a five year period from 2014-2019 and provides an overview of and commentary on the effectiveness of the FOI system in Victoria. The data covers requests received, decision making, reviews, complaints, costs and challenges in administering the FOI Act.

In this special Information Access Series seminar on 20 February, Information Commissioner Sven Bluemmel will discuss the key findings of this report into FOI and identify areas for improvement, followed by a light lunch.

For those in regional areas or who can't attend in person, we will be live streaming the session on Twitter.

For those attending in person, numbers are limited to 40 people.

Please note: You will be required to collect a security pass from the concierge desk on arrival.

Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
