Administering the Freedom of Information Act
This all day training provides Victorian public sector staff with a sound understanding of the practical application of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic).
The training will cover:
- an overview of the scope and objectives of the FOI Act;
- a structured approach to processing applications;
- time frames, decision making, and fees, charges and deposits; and
- refusals under section 25A.
Participants are provided a 'Guide to Freedom of Information in Victoria' manual which details how to administer the FOI Act, process applications, and interpret and apply the exemptions.
Please note this training is for Victorian public sector staff only.
You will be required to provide identification and collect a security pass from the concierge desk on arrival.
